MODUHAUS was started in 2025 by Alvin, who had been working in renovation. The company behind it, SENKU DESIGN SDN. BHD., was registered that year, and the showroom is in Semenyih, Selangor.
The reason came from the renovation work itself. A customer moved house, and not one piece of the furniture built for them could be used in the new place. It had all been measured for walls they no longer lived behind.
That is the normal outcome of carpentry, not a mistake. A fitted cabinet belongs to a building. The customer paid for it, lived with it for a few years, and then left it there.
MODUHAUS was an attempt to sell the opposite thing: furniture that belongs to the person who bought it.
What modular means in the MODUHAUS system
In the MODUHAUS system, modular means every piece is built from the same short list of parts. Those parts are 304 steel tube, 304 steel panel, a ball joint at each corner and an internal tube connector. The moving parts are spring hinges, swivel castors, fixed foot pads and a manual door handle. All of them are listed and photographed on the craftsmanship page.
The parts are held together by those joints and connectors. Nothing in the frame is glued, nailed or built into a wall. A unit comes apart and goes back together with the same parts it arrived with.
Everything is laid out on one grid. The smallest cabinet in the Standard Haller range is 750 mm wide and 350 mm deep. The larger ones are multiples of that width at the same depth: 1500 mm and 2250 mm.
What happens when you move house
A MODUHAUS unit comes apart into tubes, panels and joints, and goes back together in a shape that suits the new room. A tall unit can come down to a long low one. Two small ones can stack into a tower. The parts do not care which arrangement they are in.
There is one thing it will not do. Every Standard Haller piece is 350 mm deep, and that does not change wherever the cabinet goes. What changes is width, height and how the panels are arranged.
The Cube is the clearest case. It is a cabinet on four castors, so moving it across a room is not a project.

Ask the seller two things. Can the piece be taken apart without being destroyed, and can you buy a single part from them later. Get both answers in writing before you pay.
Modular is a word, and a word costs a seller nothing. The test is mechanical. If the carcass is glued or stapled, taking it apart is demolition, whatever the catalogue says. The second question is the one most sellers cannot answer, because a set is made as a set.
MODUHAUS answers both the same way. Every piece is built from the parts listed above, and those parts are sold on their own. A panel, a tube, a door or a set of castors can be bought without buying another cabinet.
